Notes.

* A Findagrave.com website for Rev. Nicholas Baker says he married three times: first to Elizabeth Richards, who died in 1636; second to Mary Hodges, 1616-1661, on 27 Jan 1637, with whom he had his daughter Sarah; and third to Grace Dipple in 1662.

The Great Migration Directory lists a William Dennis as coming to New England in 1638 and settling in Scituate.  I have not yet had the chance to review the references in GMD but think it is likely that the William Dennis in GMD is the same William Dennis who was the father of Judith Dennis, who married Lawrence Litchfield.  Litchfield also lived in Scituate.

An undocumented website says Jane’s father was Richard Scarlett, b. Abt 1570 and mother was Anne Joy, b Abt 1572. http://our-royal-titled-noble-and-commoner-ancestors.com/p1577.htm#i47402.

A very tantalizing website, http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/m/u/r/Courtney-L-Murray/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0956.html has more information on this family.  They trace back to ancient England, including purportedly to Lady Godiva.
