Note that at least one website lists Tirzah as being born in Scituate, MA. However, the official Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841-1910 for the year 1872, Volume 248, page 67, death records for Chesterfield, Mass. shows that while Tirzah's parents Benjamin Pierce and Priscilla Merritt Wade Pierce were from Scituate, Tirzah was born in Chesterfield.
