Notes.
Deacon William Rockwell's brother John Rockwell, Jr., b. 1588, was the earliest American ancestor of the American artist Norman Rockwell. Thus, Norman Rockwell's common ancestors with the Bissells are John Rockwell, Sr. born 1563, and Honor Newton. In the generation after William and John Rockwell, Jr., William and his wife Susanna Capen had a daughter Joan (born 1625) and a son John (born 1627). That son John married Deliverance Hawes, the mother of 7th Great-grandmother Ruth Warner.
